Homeless Sunday 2018

Homeless Sunday is an annual event organised by Housing Justice and Scottish Churches Housing Action. 2018’s event takes place on Sunday 28th January.
The day brings Christians together to pray, reflect and take action on homelessness. It is also a chance to offer solidarity and provide a united Christian voice for change. They want people to be aware, active and adamant that it must end.
With homelessness increasing throughout the country, Housing Justice want this to be the biggest Homeless Sunday ever. They aim to raise awareness about homelessness and increase the number of people taking action. They also want to send a message to policy makers that no one should be without a home that meets their needs.
To help churches take part, Housing Justice has produced resources. These include theological reflections and fact sheets on homelessness. Churches can also request a speaker from Housing Justice visit them to talk about the issues.
