Put your faith into action – volunteer with Pact

Pact – the Prison Advice and Care Trust – are looking for a volunteer for their Family Service.

Pact Family Services provide support to families who have a loved one in prison.  Their staff and volunteers meet and greet families as they arrive for a visit. They offer practical and emotional support including visitor information and play services for children. They are looking for a volunteer to join their team at HMP Onley Visitors Centre in Rugby.

The volunteer will meet and greet people visiting their loved ones in prison, making sure they receive a friendly and supportive welcome before and after their visit. Other duties involve helping people with the booking-in system, offering refreshments, and providing support and advice.

Shifts are available Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 2pm-4pm. You can volunteer for as many shifts as you are able, but due to of the training and induction requirements, and value of this role Pact is looking for someone who can commit to volunteering for at least one shift a week for 6 months.
